BG vs. Arizona State, Second Half

UPDATE:

For an 18-point game, this just got a little rough. Breske and Bugher just entered the game. A sad departure for Ali Mann and Liz Honegger and Carin Horne. The fans give them proper departure. ASU 67, BG 49. A great run by BG, but they couldn’t get it done.

UPDATE:

As another sidenote, the women’s softball team was 13-3 coming into the weekend for all you bandwagon passengers.

UPDATE:
The ASU band is playing ‘The Final Countdown.’ Unless pigs fly they’re foreshadowing for their trip to the Elite Eight. I’m expecting the Curt Miller senior carousel to begin soon. The Falcons trail 63-49 with 2:36 to play.

UPDATE:

BG is in ‘try-to-do-too-much’ mode. They’re driving lanes that aren’t there and getting stuffed. It’s hard not to admire their fight though. It’s 59-45 with 5:46 to go.

UPDATE:

BG wants to win or lose with Ali Mann doing the scoring. She’s gone to the hole almost every play since she’s come in at the point. The lead for ASU is back to 16 at 57-41. It’s been a great year for this team, they gave it all they had. I’m not counting them out, but things would have to change very drastically at this point for them to win. There’s 8:40 left and Kate is back in at the point.

UPDATE:

The Falcons got within nine, but ASU is just too good. It’s back to 14 points now. Achter got pulled after missing her second straight layup. In her defense,they were tough layups. Amber Flynn is at the free-throw line to shoot two with 11 minutes to play.
UPDATE:

BG has cut an 18 point lead down to 11. ASU is not looking good inside, hopefully BG can keep that defense up and keep chipping away.

Danielle Orsillo is quite the baller. She hit two quick jumpers to start the half. Lucky for BG they hit their first two 3s. It’s 44-33 with 17 to play.
